Monarchs Basketball

We're passionate about developing new players, and turning individuals into a team. After initially entering Mens Norfolk League in 2022 as King's Lynn Basketball Club, the Mens team struggled to find its feet for its first few seasons.

Coach Ollie started Monarchs in partnership with KLBC to be able to give the senior teams the focus they need, whilst still leading the U16 & U18 teams at KLBC.

During the first season as a standalone senior club, we found relatively good success throughtout the 25/26 season. With our Mens Norfolk D1 team coming 5th out of 10, our Mens Norfolk D2 team coming in 3rd out of 10, and our Norfolk Women team coming in 6th out of 9. This season taught us a lot, dropping silly losses due to player availability, attitude and work ethic, which led to us making the decision to strip teams back and focus on building a team from scratch.

For the 26/27 season we have 1 large Mens team, competing across D1 Norfolk League and D1 Cambridgshire league. And we continue to develop and grow our Womens team in the Norfolk Ladies division.

Doesn't matter if you're new to basketball, and interested in starting your journey as a player or official. Or if you're experienced and strive for success. We have space for all abilities.
